Board of Directors
Allee Torres, M.S.
President of the Board of Directors, Director of Medical Affairs, Cofounder
Allee Torres started working in the outpatient medical setting in 2008 and has developed a focus on public health at the local and international level. She is the producer of No Copay Radio, a public health podcast staring Dr. John of Denver’s 9News. She has a M.S. in Biohazardous Threat Agents and Emerging Infectious Diseases from Georgetown University and a B.S. in Biology from Stanford University. She specializes in countering the threat of emerging infectious disease. She has worked in public health outreach since 2012 and worked as a researcher, writer, and editor for NATO public health initiatives.
Rebecca Holliman, M.S.
Vice President of the Board of Directors, Director of Legal Affairs, Cofounder
Rebecca Holliman works as a research associate on biomedical regulatory issues in Washington DC. She has an M.S. in Biomedical Science Policy and Advocacy from Georgetown University. She focuses on the regulatory approval process for pharmaceutical and medical devices and the impact of regulatory science on public health. She has worked for public health nonprofits since 2009, including Georgetown Medstar’s Ruesch Center for the Cure of Gastrointestinal Cancers, PharmedOut, and Mayflower Medical Outreach. She has written/spoken on regulatory topics for US News and World Report, The Bioethics Forum, and No Copay Radio. She is a former Korean Linguist for the U.S. Army.
Alex Joseph, M.S.
Treasurer of the Board of Directors, Director of Operations, Cofounder
Alex has worked as a research technician at the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center of Georgetown University, as well as a the Foundation for the Advanced Education in the Sciences at the National Institutes of health. Recently awarded his MS in Biomedical Science Policy and Advocacy from Georgetown, Alex focuses on how biomedical innovation can be successfully moved through research, development, and implementation to make a real-world impact on society.
Kelsey Stafstrom, M.S.
Secretary of the Board of Directors
Kelsey Stafstrom is a science communicator currently working at the National Human Genome Research Institute at the National Institutes of Health. A graduate of the Biomedical Science Policy and Advocacy Master’s Program at Georgetown University, she focuses on innovation in healthcare and how it is affected by the complex relationship between science, policy and communication. She has previously served as an AstraZeneca/MedImmune Leaders of Tomorrow Fellow and as a research assistant in cancer genetics laboratory at Brown University.
Board of Directors, Director of Design, Cofounder
Ethan Miller currently works as a small business and nonprofit design consultant in Denver, CO. He is a specialist in human centered product design and has worked on a wide variety of design projects ranging from consumer electronics and appliances to upper extremity prosthetics and physical therapy devices. He has worked as an advocate for health, design and science education since 2008 serving as an Industrial Designer Society of America body president and mentor for FIRST Robotics, Strategic Kids LLC. and Arts Street Educational Service.
