We are pleased to announce that Dr. John Torres, MD has joined our Advisory Board.
Dr. John Torres, MD is an Emergency Room physician with experience in Level I and II trauma centers as well as expertise in disaster preparedness and weapons of mass destruction. After graduating from the U.S. Air Force Academy, he spent his initial career in the Air Force as a pilot. He then graduated from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine and completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of New Mexico Hospital system. Dr. Torres spent the remainder of his military career as a Flight Surgeon in the Air National Guard and became the commander of one of the few CERFP units in the nation dedicated to training and preparation for any Chemical, Biological, Radioactive and High Yield Explosive Enhanced Response Force Package. In this capacity he also led a rescue mission to New Orleans to support both the Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita medical response. Dr. Torres is now a retired Colonel and continues to teach Emergency Medical, Tactical and Force Protection across the globe to both military and civilian counterparts. He was also the owner and Medical Director of several urgent cares in Colorado for seven years and is now the Medical Director for multiple Emergency Rooms throughout the state. Dr. Torres currently stars as the medical correspondent for KRDO and 9News and the host of No Copay Radio.
